In order to apply for the University of Florida’s online graduate certificate in Wildlife Forensic Sciences and Conservation, students must have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a natural science subject OR a DVM degree. If your bachelor's degree is not in a natural science subject, please email Dr. Jason Byrd at
  • An upper-division GPA of 2.0 (C grade) or better

There is a $37 application fee for the graduate certificate. Official transcripts from any institution attended are required. Please mail transcripts to:

International students are welcome to apply to UF’s online wildlife forensic sciences and conservation program as graduate certificate and non-degree seeking students. In addition to the general admission requirements, international applicants must meet the following requirements.

Submitting Transcript/Mark Sheet and Diploma/Degree Certificate

International applicants must submit an official, original document in the native language of each transcript/mark sheet and diploma/degree certificate from each university or college attended. If the native language for the documents is not English, certified, literal (exact) English translations are required. The English translation may come from the original university or may be completed by a certified translator.

Transcript/mark sheet and diploma/degree certificate with English translations (if required) should be assembled by students and sent to the address below in one package.

Applicants that do not need any of their documents returned must send packages to:

If the student would like their transcript/mark sheet and diploma/degree certificate returned, the student must provide a return shipping label and return packaging in the admissions package.*

*We must have the original diploma verifying that the degrees reported were earned. We keep the diploma locked and safe until after application materials are processed and an application decision can be made. Once a decision is made, we will send the diploma back to the student via the label and packaging that you provide. While the University of Florida handles all documents with care, we are not responsible for documents that are lost or damaged in the mail.
